Rain rain go away

It starts raining or there is a lightning and then everything gets shut down. The amount of water that has accumulated over the past couple of days is crazy. There is mud everywhere. A person can't get from there tent to the restroom without getting mud on themselves, no matter how hard they try.

Rainy Weather!

Had our first teal big storm! Hiding from the weather and we almost floated away! Spent some time talking with some Norwegian scouts while hiding from the torrent! Thankful that it's cooled off!

The Ladies!

Hanging out at The Ropes today. Mary and Katelyn representing the ladies of Crew F404!  Way to go Derik on the belay!

Do you think we're at Scout camp?

A Day of Curriculum

Started the morning at 5:15 with French toast and bacon and then it was out of camp by 6:15 to head to our activities. We're rock climbing, archery at The Bows, playing in trees at The Canopy Tour and shooting at The Barrels! Should be a great morning!!

Playing Heads Up with Troop D419. Almost there - about an hour out!

Trip to Jambo

Everyone is very very tired. We hardly slept on the way due to freezing temperatures, uncomfortable chairs, and noisy boy scouts. Some of us even tried sleeping on the floor and all that we got out of that was a dirty shirt. We just stopped for breakfast at the Golden Coral. While we did eat breakfast food, we also gorged ourselves on cotton candy, ice cream, fudge brownies, peach cobbler, and my personal favorite carrot cake.

Just Around the Corner

Kinda reminds me of the song, Just around the river bend, but much more exciting than Pocahontas.  The Jamboree will be here before we know it, 2 days to be exact.  See ya Sunday night!

Doesn't Seem Possible

It is almost unbelievable to think in 3 days we will be leaving from Peoria and Bloomington and gathering with tens of thousands of Scouts and Venturers for the National Scout Jamboree!  We've been preparing and planning for so long and now it's just 72 hours away!  Craziness!  If you can't believe it yourself, go ahead and pinch yourself.  It's for real, it's happening!  We're headed to the Jamboree!
